Poster Presentations for Abstract Submissions

Instructions for Submitting the Abstract
- You are required to submit your abstract online through the
abstract form. If you have any difficulties with this process
please contact Lynelle Watt at (780) 492-1909 (Monday-Friday)
- Do NOT mail or fax abstracts.
- E-mail confirmation of abstract submission will be sent.
Guidelines for Preparing the Abstract
Do not submit an
abstract in draft stage.
Please indicate in your email if you want to be evaluated
for a Book Award (Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows and Residents ONLY).
The
abstract should be no more than 300 words (not including the title and author
names/affiliations). It should contain the headings listed below followed by a brief
description of the category.

Title: |
Make sure it clearly
describes the work. Use all CAPITAL letters. |
|
Authors: |
Make certain that all
deserving co-investigators are listed. The
first author must attend the meeting and
attend the poster session. |
|
Affiliation: |
List the university and
city where the work was done. |
|
Introduction: |
Provide a brief
introduction as to why you did the study. |
|
Hypothesis: |
Provide a concise
hypothesis of the research. |
|
Methods: |
Describe the methods
used. |
|
Results: |
Describe the major
results. |
|
Conclusions: |
Briefly describe the
importance of your findings. |
- Use a font size of no less than 10 points.
- If tables and/or figures are included, these must also be confined to the box.
- Define all abbreviations the first time they are used.
- Acknowledge the source of funding at the bottom, but within the box.
